Roca Gallery
Close cooperation with top internationally renowned architects is the philosophy of bathroom outfitters Roca. Star architect Zaha Hadid complemented the London showroom with her design.
The architects from the famous offices drew inspiration for their plans from sliding movements of water, and their designs feature all the building elements flowing into one another.
A total of 1,100 m2 of exhibition space was created on the ground floor of an existing building. Through more than two and a half years of continuous research and development work, K. S. Thaleck has developed a composite sandwich structure made of concrete and aluminum, pitching it under the name CEton (Concrete Embedded Composite). An outstanding advantage of CEton is that concrete elements can be in pr produced in once unimaginable shapes. Only in this way was it is possible for K. S. Thaleck to bring the architects’ visions to fruition. Even though the wall and ceiling elements and the façade of the showroom are mostly grey, K. S. Thaleck adopted a base of Danucem’s White Cement, which he colored with black pigments. “With your White Cement as a base, we can achieve any color desired by the architect and ensure a degree of color consistency,” said the Managing Director. “In CRH (previous name of Danucem) we have found a partner in White cement that consistently offers the same level of quality and ready to collaborate with us on some unusual tasks. The company’s employees were always ready with their extensive knowledge and expertise, which went far beyond the cement sector. We would just like to say thank you for this close cooperation.”
